Genetic Species Characterization of Amphibians of Nepal

This study focuses on understanding the biodiversity of amphibians in Nepal and the underlying mechanisms that have driven diversification within these species. Based on morphology and the genetic work done on eight species, the result is expected to reveal higher levels of diversity. The information will have rapid conservation applications by revealing what elements of the landscape are most in need of protection, and will facilitate connectivity between populations of these species.
